What I Work With...

I copped the ASR-X when it first came out in 1997 and I'm still rocking with it (actually I busted mine and had to borrow Cee Brown's). I liked it better than the MPC even thought the sequencer is some shit. But I do all my sequencing with Sonar. I think Oddisee and YU both rock with the ASR and of course Kanye uses the ASR-10. I guess great minds think alike.
I lay vocals using Sonar 6 and it does everything I need. I know folks are Pro-Tools crazy but I'm good with this fine piece of software here.

I remember when these things were called Weblogs. I am so old-school tech. Check out my shit if you feel inclined. If not, your life will be that much less interesting. I've been making beats for over 15 years. Not something I just decided to do one day. Been fucking with music since I was 5. Pause tapes, Gemini mixer with the 8 second sampler; I'm cut from that cloth. If you don't already know...get flown in ASAP. Joe.D and Cool Cee Brown are collectively known as Dirty Water.
